Philip is 2 Years 11 Months Old. Philip's foster mom wrote this update. Now that a new year has arrived, I've been thinking about all the ways Philip has changed in the last year.
He can now speak clearly, and tell you what he means accurately. He loves the supermarket promotional posters. When he sees them, he will say to me, "Look, mom, melon seeds, raisin, and peanuts!" One day he saw the candies with colorful wrappers. He thought they were pieces of plastic, but I told him it was candy. Now he remembers it each time he sees the candy in the wrappers. He is even able to say "rice" upon seeing the electric rice cooker, and "flapjack" on seeing the electric baking pan. Isn't he smart? Sometimes when a guest comes to visit, he will point to our sofa and say, "Please sit on the sofa." If the guest stays for long, he will ask "Will you leave?" Many times, our guests will tease him and say, "No, I think I'll stay. Can I have dinner in your home and eat your food?" Philip will seriously shake his head back and forth and say, "No way!" making us all laugh. With his leg therapies, Philip is much stronger now. He can crawl on his knees, which means his waist is getting stronger. We wish Philip health and happiness in the New Year! And, especially we wish that he can stand up in 2009!
