New Day Foster Home: Actualización de Julia - Mayo 2008

Dear Friends, We hope this note finds you doing well, and that you enjoy reading this month's update. Julia is 4 Years 3 Months Old. Julia's Nanny wrote this report. Julia is one of the oldest kids at New Day. She loves school very much and is a good example for other kids.
Dressing up is one of her favorite things and she asks me to fix her hair in a a different hairstyle every day. She is a clever girl and can count from one to twenty and asks all sorts of smart questions. Julia has made great progress learning Chinese and is starting to learn English as well. She sings several songs, like “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and “Happy Birthday” clearly and with great animation in both English and Chinese. As an accommodating and helpful little girl, Julia is always generous and looks after the other younger children. Puzzles fascinate her and she can work out any jigsaw puzzle, easy or difficult. She is fond of bouncing the basketball after class and can tap the ball 40-50 times in a row. Along with bouncing balls and solving puzzles, Julia likes to color. Her artistic abilities were displayed in a pretty Mother’s Day card with a red heart on it. When she gave me the card, she stood in front of me with her arms outstretched and said, “Mom, I love you.” I swept her up and carried her in my arms responding, “I love you too, Julia.”If you ever have any questions, please let us know. Julia es una de las niñas más mayores de New Day. Le gusta mucho la escuela y es un gran ejemplo para los demás niños. Una de sus actividades favoritas es vestirse y me pide que la peine de modo diferente todos los días. Es una niña muy lista, sabe contar hasta el 20 y hace todo tipo de preguntas inteligentes. Julia ha hecho grandes progresos aprendiendo chino y está empezando a aprender inglés. Se sabe varias canciones como "brilla, brilla estrellita" y el "cumpleaños feliz". Es una niña muy buena que ayuda mucho, Julia es muy generosa y ayuda cuidando a los niños más pequeños. Le fascinan los puzles y puede hacer cualquiera, tanto fácil como difícil. Le gusta botar la pelota de baloncesto cuando acaba sus clases y es capaz de botarla 40-50 veces seguidas de una vez. Además de los puzles y de botar la pelota de baloncesto, a Julia le gusta pintar. Mostró sus habilidades artísticas en una bonita tarjeta el día de la madre con un corazón rojo. Cuando me dio la tarjeta, lo hizo poniéndose frente a mí y estirando sus brazos me dijo: "Mamá te quiero". La cogí entre mis brazos respondiéndole: "yo también a ti, Julia"
